Clean Excel (XLSX) files in the browser

CleanMySheet opens .xlsx in the browser, lets you pick a sheet, converts Excel serial dates, strips accounting parentheses from numbers, and applies the same recipes as CSV. Your workbook is not uploaded in Strict mode.

Steps

Drop an .xlsx or .xls file
Pick the sheet if the workbook has more than one
Apply Finance or CRM presets, or search individual fixes
Lock ID columns so keys are never rewritten
Export cleaned CSV and keep the recipe for next month

Excel serial dates

Excel often stores 44927 instead of a calendar date. CleanMySheet detects serials in date columns and writes ISO dates (YYYY-MM-DD) or UK/US formats from the catalog.

Accounting negatives

Finance exports use (1,234.00) for negatives. The Clean Numbers preset turns that into -1234 and strips currency symbols.
